Rough night before surgery

 I started fasting last night with nothing to eat or drink not even water...now it is 4am and I'm dying of thirst and I can't sleep...I think I am worried about the surgery, but everything is in God's hands.

Surgery in one week

Well, well, Well it's been 7 years since my first ankle injury and in a week I'm headed in for surgery to fixed the problem that was never fixed in the first surgery.  There are going to be 5 procedures: Gastrocnemius Recession Calcaneal Osteotomy -- he is going to break my heel Cotton Osteotomy Spring Ligament Reconstruction FDL Tendon Transfer. Wow...that's a lot.  I am praying for success!!!

I have a cold!

I woke up with a head cold...oh no...I have heard that anesthesiologists don't like putting patients under if they have a cold... I'm nervous my surgery will be postponed of I have a cold.  I am doing zicam,  sudafed, ginger tea,  lots of water and diffuser with eucalyptus.

Friday: 1 day after surgery

It's been about 24 hours since I got home from having my surgery and it has been an adventure but I am finally stable and feeling okay. My surgery was a success and I have a long road to recovery. As you can see, my foot is all bandaged up.  I am not supposed to put any weight on it for 6 - 8 weeks! I decided to write this at the point where my medicine is almost due so that I am more aware of what I'm typing.
